Obtuvo el Ariel a Mejor Cortometraje Documental en la 51ª entrega de los premios Ariel, México, y el premio a Mejor Documental en el 7° Festival Internacional de Cine Documental In-Edit, Puebla, por su cortometraje documental Su mercé (2007), que compitió también en el 5° FICM. Participó, entre otros festivales, en el 8° FICM y en el 31° Festival Internacional del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano, La Habana, con su cortometraje Si maneja de noche procure ir acompañado (2010); por el que obtuvo el premio Mayahuel a Mejor Cortometraje Mexicano en el 25° Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG). Su ópera prima Inercia (2013) ha participado en el 14° JeonJu International Film Festival (JIFF), Seúl; en el 18° Festival Internacional de Cine de Kerala (IFFK por sus siglas en inglés), India; y en el 26 Festival Internacional de Cine de Guanajuato (GIFF por sus siglas en inglés), entre otros.
