Ha sido ganador dos veces de la beca del Fondo Estatal para la Cultura y las Artes de Puebla (FOESCAP), México, en el área de literatura (2003 y 2009), y una vez de la beca del Programa de Estímulo a la Creación y al Desarrollo Artístico (PECDA), México, para creadores mayores de 30 años en el área de literatura (2013). Ganó el 13° Concurso Nacional de Cortometraje del Instituto Nacional de Cinematografía (IMCINE), México. Ha escrito y dirigido diversas videodanzas, dos de ellas seleccionadas en el Festival Itinerante de Videodanza Agite y Sirva, en 2012 y 2013. Desde 2003, produce y conduce Perifonía, revista radiofónica especializada en crítica de cine, en la estación de radio Puebla FM. Ha publicado dos libros de cuentos: Involuciones (2010) y Liquidaciones (2012). Ha publicado múltiples reseñas, ensayos y cuentos en revistas especializadas como Crítica de la Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), México. Su primer cortometraje Tome la pistola y empiece a despachar (2015) participó en el 30° Festival Internacional de Cine en Guadalajara (FICG), México; en el 7° Festival de Cine Mexicano de Durango; en el 10° Shorts México, Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes de México (FICMEX); en el 11° Festival de Cine “22 x Don Luis” en Calanda, España; en el 13° Vancouver Latin American Film Festival (VLAFF), Canadá; y fue parte de la Selección Oficial del 13° Festival Internacional de Cine de Morelia (FICM).
